Carmo Academy
The Carmo Academy was created to centralize our training activities, providing employees with an environment conducive to learning and knowledge sharing. It promotes group training, with the presence of leaders and directors, ensuring knowledge sharing, but also individual training, catering to the specific needs of each one.
We aim to cover all our employees with training opportunities, regardless of their role. The positive feedback that Carmo Academy has been receiving not only reflects the commitment of the entire team, but also validates all the effort invested.
We will continue to be committed to the constant evolution of Carmo Academy, valuing continuous training as a pillar of our organizational success.

The Leisure Team conducted a training on Sales Techniques at our offices.

In our offices, the Purchasing Team conducted a training on Purchasing Techniques to improve their processes.

As part of the CLT training, the CEM Technical Team had the opportunity to learn from Trento University.
- Formation in Customer Relationship
The Commercial and Administrative Support Team conducted a training on Customer Relationship.
- Training on Sawn Timber
Addressing the topic of Sawn Woods, there was an internal training session for the Sales and Operations Team.

After a few months of collaboration at Carmo, and overcoming the initial challenges that come with taking on new responsibilities, I can now observe and emphasize the team spirit and mutual support among colleagues, regardless of their physical location, given the geographical distribution of the various companies within the group. Sónia Santos
I completed my master's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structures in 2015, immediately starting to work in a bridge design office. After a year, I moved to England, where I worked for several years as a Structural Engineer for buildings and bridges, returning in early 2020. In Portugal, I worked again as a Structural Engineer, although I had the desire to try something new. In the Technical-Commercial Department of Carmo Wood, I have been in contact with various stakeholders - from Architecture and Engineering offices to Public and Private entities - with the aim of promoting the use of wooden structures, whose qualities and characteristics are still relatively unknown in Portugal but have become increasingly important over the years.
Guilherme Domingos
In November 2020, I was given the opportunity to join the Carmo Wood Group.
The first few months were not the easiest because our Carmo products are vast. But as soon as I began to realize that our products are everywhere, I quickly started identifying them almost like a "live catalog" that we can find throughout our country.
In addition to this extensive product family, there is also the Carmo family - composed of nearly 400 employees. Here, we come from various ages, different generations, different areas, and that is what makes our strength! It is from our differences that our unity is born; we have much to learn from each other and also much to teach.
It is this diversity that makes me believe that I will grow every day.
Maria Custódio
I graduated in Agricultural Engineering from the Higher School of Agriculture in Santarém. I began my professional journey as an export manager at a beef cattle production company in Cuba, later returning to Golegã. Carmo Wood came into the picture when I was looking for a new challenge for my career, in a proven yet growing company that would also allow for my personal growth, and that's exactly what I found. A solid structure and a very cohesive team. Approaching my first year with the company, I can say that I made the right choice, and it is with great pride that I see Carmo Wood breaking records month after month. I conclude with wishes for a lasting and successful relationship.

I have been part of the CARMO WOOD team for over 3 years. When I embraced this project, in addition to over 20 years of commercial experience in the wood industry, I brought with me the hope of adding value to this organization.
Well, after this period (here, time doesn't seem to pass slowly), I feel that I have broadened my horizons a lot, both as a person and as a professional. I could list numerous reasons for this, but if I have to summarize them, I will say that it is the mutual support between all departments of the company that makes us go further. This is because, for me, mutual support is the glue that binds organizations, and it is part of CARMO WOOD's DNA.
